Stockholm has qualified for the final in the competition to arrange the 2004 Olympic Summer Games. 11 cities were on the starting line, but now only 5 are still in the race. The IOC Executive Board has praised Stockholm for its bid.

'The other finalists are: Athen, Buenos Aires, Cape Town and Rome.
